Professional Standards Working Group

Having developed and disseminated the Core Knowledge and Competency Areas for Professional Standards for Adults Working with Young Children Birth through Age Eight and in Out-of-School-Time Programs, this group continues its efforts to reach consistency and coordination of standards for the field of early care and education. The Career Lattice , which was been revised to meet New Jersey's licensure regulations now consist of seven levels of competencies and generic job descriptions are currently being developed. The Professional Standards Working Group works closely and in conjunction with the Clearinghouse and Directors Preparation Working Groups. Co-chairs are Jennifer Beaumont and a member to be determined.
