Approval System : Become an Approved Instructor
What is the Instructor Approval System?
The Instructor Approval System provides a listing of instructors
in Early Care and Education, Out-of-School Time, and Primary
Education. These instructors have provided documentation of their
qualifications and areas of expertise.
Professional Impact NJ DOES NOT ENDORSE OR RECOMMEND THE SERVICES OF AN
APPROVED INSTRUCTOR, OR GUARANTEE THE QUALITY OF THE DELIVERY
OR CONTENT OF AN APPROVED INSTRUCTOR.
How do I find an Instructor?
Click on Find an Approved Instructor. In the selection screen,
select the county in which you are located, the topic area and
age group of interest. A list of participating instructors will
appear.
How do I apply to become an Approved Instructor?
Instructors in the field of Early Care and Education, Out-of-School
Time, or Primary Education must complete an Individual
Instructor Registry Application (v 8-07) which also enrolls
them in the NJ Registry For Childhood Professionals Serving Children
Birth Through Age Thirteen.
Instructors in Early Care and Education, Out-of-School Time,
and Primary Education may submit their applications to the NJ
Registry of Childhood Professionals They may then be approved
as an "Associate Instructor," "Instructor," or "Master
Instructor," depending on their educational level and amount
of work experience. The qualifications for each instructor level
can be found on the Instructor
Approval Criteria Grid.
What happens once my application has been approved?
If you check either box authorizing us to “Publish my name…“on
the approved instructor application, your information will be
listed in the Approved Instructor Database located in the Directory
of Instructional Resources.
What are the benefits of participating in the Instructor
Approval System?
A listing on this database is a great way to present your services
and list your credentials. This will allow child care centers,
agencies, and parent groups who are looking for speakers to
Find an Approved Instructor via the Registry website. Another
advantage of becoming an approved instructor is that only approved
instructors will be able to rate the content of the courses
which they are teaching according to Core Knowledge areas and
level of competency. Practitioners and administrators seeking
to satisfy Registry career development requirements will choose
courses appropriate to their knowledge and competency level
according to these ratings.
