NJ
Early Childhood Scholarship is
available to individuals employed by licensed child care centers
which are contracted with public schools in Abbott Districts
or are classified as Center Based Care (CBC) Agencies. Funds
are available to individuals working toward a CDA or CCP credential,
an early childhood education associate's or bachelor's degree,
and the P-3 Early Childhood Teacher Certificate.
Financial
Assistance for CDA/CCP
The New Jersey Early Childhood Scholarship Program provides funds
in education scholarships for early childhood practitioners working
in licensed child care centers that have contracted with Abbott
school districts and Center Based Care (CBC) Agencies. Individuals
seeking to earn their Child Development Associate (CDA) may apply
for up to $1000 in training funds and the $325 assessment fee
after training has been completed. Individuals seeking to earn
their Certified Childcare Professional (CCP) may apply for $495
for the application packet and $530 for training. Scholarship
funds may be used at any participating Unified Child Care Agency
or the NJ Child Care Association. Only one major may be pursued
at a time. All recipients will receive a $50.00 expense stipend
per course. All applications should be received no later than
30 days before the start of training to allow adequate time for
processing.

Assistance for College Coursework
The New Jersey Early Childhood Scholarship Program provides funds
in education scholarships for early childhood practitioners working
in licensed child care centers that have contracted with Abbott
school districts or are Center Based Care (CBC) Agencies. Funds
up to $5,000 annually are available for college-based CDA and
courses leading to an Associate's or Bachelor's degree toward
certification in Early Childhood Education. Only one major may
be pursued at a time. All recipients will receive a $50 expense
stipend per course.
